Summary: This Paper summarises a recent report from the National Employment Panel (NEP). The report looks at ways of improving collaboration between the systems and agencies that deal with 'welfare' (primarily DWP and Jobcentre Plus) and the ones that deal with 'workforce development' (including DfES and LSC). The recommendations from this NEP report are likely to carry some weight. The report was referred to in this week's budget as well as being a feature of ALI's Grant letter 2004-5.
